Graham Dodsworth
Dodzography
Dodsworth believes his attraction to the folk genre began with his mother's lullabies, mainly popular songs which had been generated during and between the war years. His career began at the age of 15 with weekly performances of traditional english songs and big ballads at Melbourne's Outpost Inn, Frank Traynors, Fogartys and Dan O'Connell Hotel.
Today Dodsworth performs songs that have stood the test of time and distance from Australian, British, Irish and Blues roots as well as material by contemporaries such as Eric Bogle, Mike O'Rourke, Tony Miles, Colin Dryden, Patrick Sky, Groves & Bourke, and his own material such as the award winning 'Excuse Me', the powerful 'Dear China' as well as 'What Am I Doing Here' and 'World I Believe In'. Graham is currently in Europe promoting his 'Australian Song Tour' CD (August 2015).

Dodsworth has regularly toured his music around Australia and has been featured on radio and television many times. Noted equally as a vocalist, guitarist, composer and entertainer, he has performed at countless public venues and institutions including hundreds of Music Festivals. His unique feel for the Australian folk genre has brought a refreshing bouyancy to many of the old standard bush songs as well as Australia's finest contemporary compositions. He has a Master of Arts in Australian Folklore and was awarded the 2005 National Library of Australia Folk Festival Fellowship. Dodsworth has to date released three albums, 'Summer Madness', 'In Good King Arthur's Day' and 'In Our Time'. A fourth, as they say, is in the can.
Each of these can be purchased online at dz-shop-cds.htm.

DODSWORTH & DODSWORTH
Although Graham often performs with his son, Lloyd Dodsworth, The DODSWORTH & DODSWORTH banner sometimes heralds his other three children, Meg, Giles & Penelope, onto the stage. The entire family has performed officially at Maldon & Newstead in recent years and at the launch of 'In Our Time' at the Australian National Festival in Canberra in 2005. Graham & Lloyd performed at Beechworth Celtic Festival, Cobargo Folk Festival and Majors Creek Folk Festival in 2014 & 2015.
